MDE Special Education Approvals
LEA/PSA’s employing staff that require MDE temporary, continuing or full approvals 15-16 will need to have them submitted on MOECS prior to December 1, 2015.
Submissions after the deadline will require a rationale to the Director of Special Education giving a reason for the delay. Staff hired mid-year can be submitted upon hire without a rationale. This pertains to new licensed social workers that need “school” approval, teachers working toward their endorsement for the classroom assignment, teacher consultants, transition coordinators, supervisors and directors.
