Introducing two new immersive professional learning experiences from Oakland Schools Special Education!

SET PLN (Special Education Teachers Professional Learning Network) is an immersive virtual and real time opportunity for Special Education teachers to connect, collaborate. and learn. The SET PLN offers job embedded professional learning through a series of classroom/lab visits.

Each school tour will focus on one of four specific topics: co-teaching, drop in resource/labs, intervention systems, or social emotional learning. The size of the tour group is limited so in order to reach as many educators as possible each lab will be recorded using 360 degree interactive video and archived in miPlace

www.miplacek12.org, a virtual collaborative space, for anyone to access at anytime from any vantage point on any device.

*Currently the SET PLN school tours will be focused on High School settings with plans to expand next fall.* Participants can register at OSregistration.org

The virtual side of SET PLN will not only house the video archive but also act as a resource hub and collaborative community for ALL educators who work with variable learners. The virtual group has integrated an integrated Google drive, Youtube, Calendar, and hangouts system as wwell as forum section and resource request system. The SET PLN group can be found at www.miplace.k12.org by logging in and searching the Collaboratorium tab.
