B-13 Secondary Transition: 2016 Data Collection Updates

The B-13 Secondary Transition team recently announced the IEP reviews with the B-13 Checklist will remain in CIMS for 2016 data collection. The data collection window will once again be from April 15, 2016 through June 30, 2016. The B13 Checklist remains essentially the same with a few minor adjustments. They have noted they will continue to require the district to review the IEP that is the most current as of March 1, 2016 for the students on their list. That means February offers a window of opportunity to review or spot check IEPs for compliance with the B-13 Checklist and make corrections through an amendment or a new IEP prior to March 1. The CIMS team will be offering a training webinar on April 11th for district/ISD staffs coordinating the B13 IEP reviews & data collection. The CIMS team has reported they will provide an updated B-13 Compliance Grid and guidance for the 2016
