House bill to eliminate Department of Education

This past week Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., introduced a bill (H.R. 899) to the U.S. House of Representatives to abolish the Federal Department of Education. The bill states that "the Department of Education shall terminate on December 31, 2018." H.R. 899 is one sentence and has been referred to the House committee on Education and the Workforce. READ MORE
