MAASE Michigan Legislative Action Seminar: March 21 & 22

A reminder for all MAASE members that the registration for the Michigan Legislative Action Seminar is located on the MAASE website under the UPCOMING EVENTS tab. This is a chance to meet with your local legislators to discuss issues of importance for the special population we represent.

Participants will come to the Lansing Crowne Plaza West Hotel on the evening of Tuesday, March 21, for a dinner/meeting from 4:00-7:00 pm. You will receive training and support on the current issues relevant to special education, as well as support in how to go about meeting with legislators. Three (3) SCECHs are available for this training. Overnight lodging is available at the Crowne Plaza.

On Wednesday, March 22, teams of MAASE members will visit the Capitol and legislator's offices to meet with their individual representatives. This event is all about learning to engage in active communication with policy makers.
