About MiABLE: The Michigan Achieving a Better Life Experience or MiABLE is a tax advantaged savings account that allows people with disabilities and their families to set aside money to maintain health, independence and quality of life. Learn about MiABLE, what it is, its benefits, who qualifies and when a person can open a MiABLE account.
About R Scott de Varona: Scott was named Division Director in August 2015 and serves as the MiABLE Director within the Student Financial Services Bureau. Scott oversees the Michigan Guaranty Agency, the State Student Loan Programs Office, in addition to the MiABLE 529 (a) Program. He has worked for the State for 17 years in various positions within the Departments of Treasury and Health & Human Services.
Who Should Attend: People with disabilities, their families, Support Coordinators, Employment Specialists, Case Managers, Job Coaches, and Job Developers.
